Stitching and Bitching

I made the trip up to Dublin last Saturday for the January Stitch N Bitch IE meet up in the Library Bar of the Central Hotel. It was great to meet some fellow knitters again and there were some new faces too. The whole revival of knitting is Ireland is somewhat behind the adoption in the States and in the UK but this group is getting new members daily and is also encouraging members to set up more localised groups where they can meet on a weekly basis. There's a South Dublin and North Dublin group, two Cork groups with others plans in the near future. I don't know if Wexford is ready for Stitch N' Bitch yet but I'm definately not promising to start one any time soon, once committed to "paper" I'll be wracked with guilt over my lack of follow through so I'd prefer to just leave it as a thought to be returned to. I look forward to our next meeting in February. Also got to meet up with some good friends for a bite to eat afterwards and really enjoyed catching up. Did some retail therapy, mainly lighting for our house which I was thrilled to get, we are three years here and are STILL finishing rooms off........more on that again...... Later.
