The Knitting Olympics

The Knitting Olympics -what a fantastic idea.......................... To find out what I'm going on about check out Yarn Harlot and set yourself a knitting challenge. I've decided that I'm going to knit my first pair of socks! To be honest I've never really understood the attraction of knitting socks but now that I've set myself this challenge I'll enjoy giving it a go. So, where to start, well a rummage through the yarn stash yielded some Lorna's Laces yarn and a pattern for socks ( so am I a liar considering my previous sentence?). I purchased these at the Knitting and Stitching show in Harrogate and really at the time I think I just liked the yarn (or maybe it's just that I have a spending problem, particularly when it comes to yarn). Every time I made some sales on my own booth I went off looking for ways to spend it and increase my own personal yarn stash ( not very business like - I can see myself ending up on Eddie Hobbs' Show Me the Money in the not too distant future). So, anyway, I have the yarn, have the pattern, now just have to source the 2.5mm dpns in Wexford before the Olympics start........that could be a challenge in itself. Here's the yarn below.
