Sock - yes singular
Right now I have a sock, one sock, not much use without a partner. I have cast on for the second sock but as it's my challenge for the Knitting Olympics I should be getting close to completion. On the Knitting Olympic RingLeader's blog she has a ticker and right now it says that us Olympians should be 79% complete. And I possibly am but I've precious little time left for knitting between now and Sunday. AGGGGGH. Sock cuff complete below. And turned the correct way around |

And I even have a heel flap, but here is as far as it goes....
According to the pattern ( and I know it's right 'cos I've already made one) I still have to shape the heel, knit the gusset, shape the gusset, knit the foot, shape the toe and do some grafting............(very appropriate that -"graft" - it's what it feels like) Oh, I long to be finished. Knitting with 2.25mm dpns is not something I'll be rushing back to - it grows so slowly.

OOps, don't think I'll get my socks done in time, didn't realise it was so close to the finish line!! Story of my life. Next life will be more organised!!
Have you tried kitchener stitch for grafting? It looks perfect when its done properly. I had a couple of sets of instructions on it, tried one first and it didnt look great so tried the next and ended up redoing the first as the second was just perfect.
Hurry up Sharon my feet are cold
I have half a sock!
I started in earnest last night and am almost at the heel flappy bit. Yay!!
Yep, the needles are definitely very thin, but I'm still sure that you'll be able to finish them in time - Go Sharon!!! We're all cheering for ya, just knit and see how motivating all this cheering is!
