A new arrival

At 11.59pm last night my best friend and her husband welcomed their new baby girl to the world. What a happy glow that brings to all who know them. No name for the little girl just yet and as for her knitted gift I'm ashamed to say it is still lying in my knitting bag - unfinished!!! This'll be a short post today. I've been crazy busy these last few days and knitting and blogging have suffered! I've finished the baby sweater and have made bootees but all need to be sewn up and I've no pics yet. Between DIYing at the weekend, tennis, college and running a business there's been too few hours in the day. My yarn from Australia arrived yesterday so if I can steal a few minutes over the next day or two I'll be back with pictures!

Thats great news about your friend's baby! Congrats to her.
Its a busy life we lead these days eh?
Yes, the cottage would be a great place for the knitting, except I suspect i will be doing an awful lot of DIY when Im there. I did a little bit of token knitting at the weekend out the back, but that was all.
Meanwhile, check this link out, they have ball winders, but no pictures, and sell fleeces too! http://www.shetland-wool-brokers.zetnet.co.uk/index.htm

Sara, thanks for the Shetland link. I'm currently bidding on a woolwinder on ebay - I already lost out twice because I forgot when the auction was due to end and missed out on final bidding! Must try harder this time.

Joe, what a lesson it would be - no thanks, I have a coach for that!
