First Anniversary

So today is the first anniversary of my blog! A year ago today………………… Ok, I’m not going to do in an depth analysis of my year blogging. Summing up I’ve had a great time recording my works in progress, I’ve met some brilliant and oh, so helpful knitters the world over and learnt that sometimes I can stick with something!

So, to celebrate I present my first finished item for 2007. Not for me, but it’s the next best to making something for me – a beanie hat for DH.

Here he is striking a pose in Paraparumu. Pattern: Simple 4,2 Rib Yarn: Jo Sharp Luxury 8ply DK Pure Wool, used approx 60g which was a bit annoying but at the same time it would have been some achievement to get a hat out of a 50g ball.

Time taken: The blink of an eyelid, ok, maybe a few hours

Satisfaction: Absolutely, I could knit up so many of these but of course as soon as I had it made the sun came out and upon our return to Wellington the winds have died. It might not be in use for some time but I think that’s quite ok by me and by the recipient.
